Explore The Drift

The Drift, located at 579 Meeker Ave in Brooklyn, NY, is a hidden gem for those seeking a casual yet lively spot to enjoy drinks, great food, and a unique atmosphere. This bar offers a relaxed vibe that's perfect for both locals and visitors, with a design that feels like a balance between rough-around-the-edges charm and stylish, lived-in comfort. It's the kind of place that evokes the quirky aesthetic of a Wes Anderson set, where the details matter, but it never feels forced.

One of the standout features of The Drift is its impressive selection of drinks. The cocktails are praised for being both strong and reasonably priced, ensuring that patrons can enjoy their favorites without breaking the bank. Whether you're looking for something classic or more adventurous, you'll find something to suit your taste. The chill environment makes it an excellent choice for hanging out with friends or even solo visits, and the bartenders set the perfect mood with their welcoming energy and impeccable music choices.

But what truly elevates The Drift is the addition of JJ's Southern Vegan food, located in the back. The spicy "chicken" sandwich is a hit, though be warned, it's fiery! For those who enjoy comfort food, the Mac and Cheese is a must-try. The combination of strong drinks and delicious vegan eats makes The Drift stand out in Brooklyn’s food and drink scene. It’s the kind of place that, once visited, you'd want to make a regular stop.

With its perfect mix of great drinks, tasty snacks, and a cozy yet vibrant atmosphere, The Drift has quickly become a favorite for both regulars and newcomers. Drinks that are strong and well-priced, and love the chill vibe. Plus JJ's Southern Vegan food in the back is amazing!! The spicy "chicken" sandwich is definitely spicy though, so watch out! You MUST get the Mac and Cheese

This place feels much more cozy and welcoming than Boulevard tavern ever did. An improved drink menu and ambiance goes a long way. We were with a large group and everyone had a great time

Chill neighborhood spot. Same owners as The Commodore and El Cortez. Try the Frito pie, sloppy Joe and chili Queso. Great drinks too.

Pretty nice spot. I enjoyed the cozy vibe and the big booths. It wasn't too loud which made talking a bit easier, and their drinks were priced well. It's in a good area as well so if you're around it's worth a stop for a drink.

The perfect bar? Probably. I’m visiting NYC on a film shoot and my local DP and long-time friend takes me to his local watering hole... mid conversation we walk in to the bar and immediately I had to stop and look around. The place looks a little like a Wes Anderson set but not in an try-hard kind of way.. it’s a great balance of rough and ready; designed and lived-in. Then we met the bartender who was a sweetheart and a killer DJ setting a great mood for the joint. Drinks were good and reasonably priced. If this was in my hood back home, I’d be a regular for sure.
